The way of Christ versus the way of the world

God the Father Almighty so loved the world that he sent his Only Begotten Son to deliver us from the dominion of darkness, so that whoever believes in him will have life everlasting in the Kingdom of Heaven [1]. Our loving Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for us on the cross and continues to do so in daily Masses offered around the world. The Precious Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Holy Eucharist, is our daily bread that we ask for in the Our Father prayer [2]. Jesus Christ truly is the Saviour of the world, the King of Kings, the Alpha and the Omega, and he will come again to judge the living and the dead [3]. He will wipe away every tear: pain, suffering and sorrows will be no more, for the former things will be gone forever [4]. By God’s grace, we have the gift of time to prepare ourselves for this great day.

Jesus Christ has shown us his way, his truth and his life [5]. On his earthly mission, he appointed St Peter as the first pope and founded the Holy Catholic Church [6]. Soon after, the Catholic Church published the Holy Bible, the living Word of God. By following the Word of God and receiving the Holy Sacraments of Jesus Christ in his Holy Church, we are spiritually strengthened and also receive more gifts of the Holy Spirit (who lives within us and gives us our breath of life). Despite this offering of love from the Triune God – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – many ignore the call of God in them, thus blinding themselves to the way of Christ and falling prey to Satan, as summarised in the table below.

The way of Christ

The way of the world under Satan’s influence

Love God first and then others as yourself [7]

Love yourself first and then others

Conform to the way of Jesus Christ

Conform to the way of the world and man [8]

Sacrificial love of God and others

Conditional love of God and others

One Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ [9]

Many contradicting religions founded by man [10]

Everything in God’s time [11]

Instant gratification

Solve problems through prayer

No need to pray – man is in control

Be humble and patiently await a heavenly reward

Seek worldly recognition and an earthly reward

Celebrate goodness and purity (e.g. All Saints Day)

Celebrate evil (e.g. Halloween, abortion, sodomy)

Spiritual warfare: the battle for souls [12]

No spiritual warfare: it’s flesh against flesh

A loving father gives his children only one set of guidelines to live by, yet sadly, many ignore this truth, thinking that God the Father reveals himself in different religions, when in fact, he reveals himself in only one, and there can be only one.

We must not forget that Satan comes disguised as an angel of light [13], deceptively making evil look good and spurring the creation of false religions with false claims, unable to deliver on their promises, with no real miracles (like raising people from the dead), and no deliverances of evil spirits [14]. Indeed, no human on earth loved like Jesus Christ or were able to raise themselves from the dead as Jesus did. No religion has produced saints like those found in Catholic Church, which is the biggest charity on earth. No religion outside of the Catholic Church truly promotes the human and familial nature of a loving God together with his saints in heaven (the Communion of Saints) and his children on earth. To see the hand of God in his Church, one need just look at the bodies of the incorruptible saints in shrines around the world today, some of which have not decayed for more than 1,000 years − and of course, the countless testimonies of healings through Jesus Christ and the intercessions of his saints.

No other name is on the tip of every tongue − either to praise or blaspheme Jesus Christ, which clearly shows the spiritual warfare at play. Satanists, who are the world’s most evil people, directly assault the Catholic Church and everything it stands for in their satanic black masses, which in itself is proof of the fact that the Catholic Church is the true Church of God [15]. There is no middle ground in the battle for souls, as Satan has cleverly deceived the world into thinking: we either bring curses or blessings on ourselves through our choices.

In the words of Mother Mary to Alan Ames [16]:

"How easy it is for the evil one to take my children away with half-truths, half reasons. The ridiculous can be made to look the truth. Mankind’s souls are from God’s love and are created to return to God in heaven. The souls of mankind are not created to be animals or created to love over and over as humans. Each soul, each spirit is unique and when it is given its human body this body is unique to this soul. There are only two choices: the choice of heaven or hell − any other choice is only the choice that leads to hell, any other choice is a deception from the evil one. Any other choice is a lie. Has anyone except the Lord Jesus come back to life and shown what follows death? Has anyone other than the Lord Jesus foretold his death and resurrection? Has anyone except the Lord Jesus defeated death? This is the proof that the Lord Jesus is the true Son of God and is the true way to heaven. Has any other sent the Holy Spirit to fill his children with gifts and graces of God? Has anyone but the Lord Jesus said you will heal and raise the dead in his name and fulfilled his promise? Has anyone else except the Lord Jesus said demons will flee from his name, and fulfilled his promise? Has anyone else made so many saints that showed his love? Has anyone else appeared over and over for nearly two thousand years to proclaim God’s love? Has anyone else performed so many miracles? Has anyone else lived eternally? And has anyone else loved man so that he gave his life for the forgiveness of their sins? Who else has done these things? Who else has proclaimed the greatness of God with his every breath? Who else?" (29/04/1995)

Our first pope, St Peter, the Rock (Cephas), beseeches us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God because our adversary, the devil, goes around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he can devour, but those who resist and who are strong in the faith, will, after suffering a little, be perfected in Christ [17]. Christ never said his way will not come with its challenges, but he did promise us gifts of the Holy Spirit, his love and peace in our hearts, and an eternal reward in his paradise.

[1] “For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting” (John 3:16). “Giving thanks to God the Father, who hath made us worthy to be partakers of the lot of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, In whom we have redemption through his blood, the remission of sins.” (Colossians 1:12–14)

[2] “Give us this day our supersubstantial bread.” (Matthew 6:11)

[3] “Behold, he cometh with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also that pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall bewail themselves because of him. Even so. Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:7–8)

[4] “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

[5] “Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

[6] “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18)

[7] “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind, and with thy whole strength. This is the first commandment. And the second is like to it: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30–31)

[8] “And be not conformed to this world; but be reformed in the newness of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

[9] “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” (1 Timothy 3:15)

[10] “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.” (Galatians 1:8–9)

[11] “Teth. The Lord is good to them that hope in him, to the soul that seeketh him. Teth. It is good to wait with silence for the salvation of God.” (Lamentations 3:25)

[12] “Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.” (Ephesians 6:11–12)

[13] “For such false apostles are deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no wonder: for Satan himself transformeth himself into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)

[14] Evil spirits only go in flight in the name of Jesus: they may give a sense of false healing through other deceptions, but that only results in more spiritual oppression. [15] According Fr Gabriel Amorth in his book “An Exorcist: More Stories”, the twelve steps of a satanic pact in a black mass, a mockery of the Holy Eucharist, include: abjuring Christian Baptism; abjuring all the faith in the Eucharist; refusing obedience to God and accepting the will of Satan, Lucifer or Beelzebul; rejecting the Virgin Mary; rejecting the Catholic Sacraments; stepping on the Cross; stepping on images of the Virgin Mary and the saints; swearing eternal allegiance to the prince of darkness by swearing on diabolical scriptures; being baptised in the name of the devil, and choosing an appropriate name; receiving on the thigh, by means of a diabolical imprint, the mark of a sect; choosing a godfather and a godmother within the sect; profaning the Host (Body of Christ) without profaning the Tabernacle, that is, receiving Communion and preserving the Sacred Particles, which will be desecrated in a black mass.

[17] “Be you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation: Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of you. Be sober and watch: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour. Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you.” (1 Peter 5:6-10)
